Our efforts

December 2008

Marikina City - Street Children and Families in Slum Areas in Barangay Tumana in Marikina were the lucky recipients of our 2nd Christmas gift-giving program. In coordination with the members of LEGION OF MARY Marikina Chapter headed by Mrs.Milagros Rollon and Mrs. Leonora Cortez, these children and their families received a variety of christmas presents such as canned goods, rice, clothes, ham, fruits, vitamins and others from their goody bags during the festive week and have looked forward to a Merry Christmas.


October 2006

San Jose Elementary School - Mauban Quezon City Metro Manila

A computer set was donated to the San Jose Elementary School in Mauban, Quezon City. Students will now benefit from a brand-new unit with printer from Handog Natin. These was done in coordination with principal, Dr.Robert Macasieb and Mrs.Wilma Casas. We hope that the pupils from this urban area will somehow boost their interest and knowledge in computer and become competitive in the future.


Balasan Central Elementary School- Iloilo City

This public elementary school in Balasan Iloilo in the Visayas region of the Philippines, comprises of 300 to 400 pupils in different grades has been chosen by HN as the recipient of a brand new computer unit with printer which will help in the children's computer literacy programs enabling them to be confident and competitive in their early school years.


Alternative Learning System - Tuguegarao City, Cagayan

The beaureu of Alternative Learning System under the Dept of Education Culture & Sports through the coordination with the head of the Out-of-School Youth Learning Division,Mr. Mateo Macababbad has sought the assistance of Handog Natin in order to meet their mandate of helping eradicate the twin problems of illiteracy and poverty in this area by introducing and implementing literacy program for identified individuals and would-be-learners and their Accreditations and Equivalency System for the school drop-outs in the elementary and secondary levels. The new computer unit will play a major role in carrying out this objectives and boost the morale of our youths taking part of this project.


September 2006

Mt. Mayon Eruption and Typhoon "Milenyo" - In partnership with Triton Scuba, a diving company from Portsmouth, UK and through the efforts of member Noel Se, Handog Natin sent financial donations for the victims and evacuees of the Volcano's eruption and Typhoon which left thousands homeless. These donations was forwarded to Legazpi City's Volunteer Rescuers Team and was used to purchase further Life-Saving Rescue Equipments and to re-start their livelihood.


August 2006

Medical Assistance Program - HN provided grant for the purchase of 15 new bed mattresses and repair and painting of hospital beds in Pinamalayan Community Hospital, Oriental Mindoro for the benefit of sick patients that suffer from additional stress due to uncomfortable broken beds with no bed mattress.


March 2006

Members of HN again solicited money from members and friends in Coventry for the benefit of the landslide victims sent to Catholic Bishop of Maasin in coordination with Fr. Mariano Tarroza a Filipino priest for migrant Filipinos in Coventry & Warwickshire whose diocese is also in Maasin, Leyte.


December 2005

HN organized a special gift-giving for christmas to this pediatric ward that caters to a big number of urban indigent children and their families who are finding it hard to achieve even their very basic needs. Thanks to the efforts of our members who were formerly working in this hospital as well as our volunteers.

On the same day December 2005, our volunteers handed out gifts, clothing, diapers and goods to the residents of this village, which are mentally/physically handicapped and disabled in coordination with the resident social worker from DSWD.


December 2004

Handog Natin 1st pilot project was donating money for the victims thru the coordination with GMA’s Kapuso Foundation, by soliciting money from members, staff from Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry & Warwickshire Hospital and during the Christmas party held at St. Osburg’s Church. The money raised has now been used for their rehabilitation programs.
